Finance Council
Mission Statement/Function
The mission of the Finance Council is to serve as financial consultants and advisors to the pastor in maintaining a strong financial structure at St. Joseph; to advance parish knowledge of the financial needs to the parish; to uphold and constantly improve Catholic stewardship giving; and to promote high standards of ethical conduct in handling the financial affairs of the Parish.
The Parish Finance Council assists the priest in the administration of parish finances, properties, and maintenance.
The Finance Council assists the priest in:
(1) preparing annual parish budgets
(2) reviewing periodic financial reports
(3) consulting on major capital expenditures
(4) advising on fundraising efforts
(5) advising in other areas as requested by the priest
Pastoral Council
Mission Statement/Function
The Mission of St. Joseph Catholic Church is to reflect the person of Jesus Christ. Following the example of our Patron, Saint Joseph, members are called to appreciation and promotion of family life and the value of work and workers. St. Joseph calls its members to share the love and service to God and one another through teaching and proclaiming the Good News.
The Council comes together in a consensus build effort in an advisory capacity to assist the pastor as needed.
